N’ganj garment official beaten dead

An officer of a hosiery factory in Fatullah area of Narayanganj Sadar was allegedly beaten dead by its two workers today. 

Fahim Ahmed, 26, a marketing officer of Rupaiya Hosiery in Kashipur area, was found severely injured around 9:00am inside the office where he used to stay with two workers Shohag and Yousuf at night, said the factory owner Rashed Shikder.

Later, he was rushed to Narayanganj General Hospital and later shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital in critical condition. He succumbed to his injuries around 11:00 am there, he added.

Mazed Mia, sub-inspector of Fatullah Model Police Station, told that Shohag and Yousuf might have beaten Fahim up with something hard.

The duo went into hiding after the incident, said the factory owner.
