Japan grants US$ 60,291 to Dhaka Zoo
The Government of Japan has extended grant assistance worth US$ 60,291 to Bangladesh National Zoo in Dhaka for improvement of its audio-visual equipment for educational exhibition.
The fund was under the scheme of Grant Assistance for Cultural Grassroots Projects, according to a press release issued by the Embassy of Japan in Dhaka today.
The deal was signed by Japanese Ambassador Masato Watanabe and National Zoo Curator Dr SM Nazrul Islam today at the Embassy of Japan in Dhaka.
During the ceremony, Ambassador Watanabe expressed that the mutual understanding between the peoples of Japan and Bangladesh should be deepened further in various fields.
Expressed gratitude to the people of Japan and the Japanese government, SM Nazrul Islam said he is pleased to be able to improve audio-visual equipment in the zoo.
