Navana Ltd and Toyota at 12th Dhaka Motor Show

Navana Ltd., authorised dealers of Toyota vehicles in Bangladesh, put up a dazzling display of the cars they bring into the country. Along with it, they offered significant discounts on Toyota vehicles exclusive to the Dhaka Motor Show, with a discount amount averaging 1 lakh taka for most models.

On display were the new Toyota Avanza, Vios and Hiace microbus, three vehicles that are significant sellers in the local market.

The Avanza's high riding suspension makes life easier for occupants and the car is filled with storage compartments, making it an ideal vehicle for family use inside the city. The crossover MPV was discounted for the Motor Show, with discount amounts ranging from 90,000-1 lakh taka for the 2017 model, the final price coming to 32.50 lakhs.

Sharing display space with the Avanza, the Vios is a mid-size family sedan which looks sharp and is as comfortable as a short wheelbase sedan gets in Dhaka's road conditions. For the Motor Show, the Vios received up to 1 lakh taka discount, final price standing at 31.50 lakh taka.

A favourite for commercial use and popular as a fleet vehicle, the 16-seater Toyota Hiace microbus has been a Bangladeshi favourite since the late 80's. With that kind of heritage and ever-present popularity, nothing else needs to be said of the Hiace's abilities as a useful vehicle for transporting people, luggage and whatever else is needed across any distance. At the Motor Show, the Hiace received discounts of up to 1 lakh taka, price after discount standing at 37.50 lakh taka.

Overall, Toyota and Navana's continued presence at the yearly instalments of Dhaka Motor Show has raised the event's profile and the lucrative discounts offered have generated a significant amount of interest. Hopefully they'll continue to be present for further instalments as well.
