Kolkata knock Hyderabad out
Kolkata Knight Riders knocked Sunrisers Hyderabad out with a seven-wicket win in the IPL eliminator in Bangalore yesterday.
After having restricted Hyderabad to 128 for seven in twenty overs, with Nathan Coulter-Nile taking three wickets and Umesh Yadav taking two, Goutam Gambhir's Kolkata were set a revised victory target of 48 runs in six overs, thanks to heavy rainfall at the innings break.
Despite losing three early wickets, Gambhir's unbeaten 32 made sure Kolkata reached the victory target with seven wickets in hand and four balls to spare.
Kolkata will take on Mumbai Indians in the second qualifier tomorrow.
