No traffic jam, vehicles moving slowly
Thousands of vehicles on both sides of the Bangabandhu Bridge have been moving slowly today as the Eid rush picks up.
Holidaymakers faced tailback on the Dhaka-Tangail highway for a while as two trucks collided in Mirzapur of Tangail around 2:00am, leaving one person dead, our Tangail correspondent reports quoting Asabur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Banglabandhu Bridge (East) Police Station.

Sajedul Islam, a traffic inspector of Tangail Police, said that a long tailback was formed on the western side of the bridge in the morning.
But the vehicles are now moving slowly, he said around noon today.
Thousands of people are leaving capital Dhaka to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr.
Sadarghat Launch terminal witnesses rush of passengers
Besides, Sadarghat Launch Terminal this afternoon witnessed huge rush of passengers as mass exodus from the capital begins ahead of the Eid-ul-Fitr.
A huge number of people were seen anxious to board on launches to go home intending to share the joy of Eid-ul-Fitr with family, friends and others.
Putting life in risk, many people were seen anxious to occupy roof of the launches, our correspondent reports visiting the spot.
Shafiqul Islam, who boarded on a Monpura-bound launch MV Farhan, said, "I was worried whether I will get launch on time but I am now getting a ticket.”
