GM Ziaur Rahman and GM Abdullah Al Rakib shared the third position along with nine other players with five points at the end of the 7th round of the Commonwealth Chess Championship in New Delhi, India yesterday.

GM Niaz Murshed earned 4.5 points, GM Enamul Hossain and WIM Shamima Akter Liza earned four points each while FM Taibur Rahman earned 3.5 points and WIM Rani Hamid earned two points.

In age-group events, FM Fahad Rahman shared second position with four points in the under-14 group while Tahsin Tajwar Zia shared second position with four points in the under-12 section.

In yesterday's games, Rakib beat Kulkarni Bhakti of India, Niaz beat Priyanka of India, Razib lost to IM Chakravarthi Reddy of India, Taibur drew against Mehta Naitik of India and Rani drew against WGM Namaganda Chirstine of Uganda.
