McGrath picks Starc as world’s top quick
Legendary fast bowler Glenn McGrath, who is in India as part of his role of overseeing India’s next generation of fast bowlers at the MRF foundation, nominates the World’s best fast bowler at present - his countryman Mitchell Starc.
(Starc's) ability to bowl attacking lengths with the new ball and reverse the older ball at over 150kph makes him a difficult proposition for batsmen," McGrath said at a function to mark a 25-year relationship between the MRF Pace Foundation and Cricket Australia.
"Australia is lucky to be blessed with a formidable line-up of pacemen including Starc, Josh Hazlewood, Pat Cummins and James Pattinson."
For McGrath, Starc beats competition from the likes of teammate Josh Hazzlewood, South Africa’s Kagiso Rabada and Pakistan’s Mohammad Amir.
Mitchell Starc was left out of the 14-man squad for Australia’s Test tour of Bangladesh due to an injury.
The Bangladesh crowd would surely have loved to see the attacking flair of this fine paceman.
