Sufferings of people in Chittagong hill districts continue as heavy rainfall damaged the Rangamati- Khagrachhari link road again today.

The road was previously seriously damaged in landslides on June 13, which was repaired by the Roads and Highways Department for light vehicular movement a month later.

“However, heavy rains damaged the road again today,” our Rangamati correspondent quoted Sub-assistant Engineer of R&H Department Muhammad Abu Musa as saying.

At least 120 people lost their lives and many others lost their belongings in a series of landslides that hit Rangamati last month.

Sufferings of people in Chittagong hill districts continue as heavy rainfall damaged the Rangamati- Khagrachhari link road again today.
