A Sylhet court today placed five members of banned organisation Ansarullah Bangla Team in seven days remand each over the killing of blogger Ananta Bijoy Das.

The accused are: Touhidur Rahman, a UK citizen of Bangladeshi-origin, Aminul Mallik, Ariful Islam, Zakirul Prokash and Sadeque Ali Mithu.
Criminal Investigation Department (CID) produced them before court and sought each in 15 days remand. However, after the hearing, the magistrate placed the accused under a week in remand each.
