Aamir reveals first “Secret Superstar” poster

Almost nine months after the release of its first teaser online, Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan on Monday made public the first poster of his next feature film “Secret Superstar” which deals with the story of a schoolgirl's struggle to become a famous singer against the wishes of her father.

As Aamir put the poster on the web, he also made the announcement that the trailer of the film featuring his “Dangal” co-star Zaira Wasim will be released online today (August 2).

In the poster of the film directed by Advait Chauhan, a schoolgirl is shown in a school uniform and walking on a road where trees have music notes instead of leaves, with the tagline “Dream Dekhna to Basic Hota Hai” (“To Dream is Basic”).

 “Secret Superstar”, in which Aamir plays the cameo role of the budding singer's rock-star mentor, is the story of a small-town girl who wants to be a famous singer but her father does not want it. But she sticks to her dream without openly defying her father.

The film was earlier supposed to hit the screens on August 4 but will now release in October.
