Australia pay dispute ends in time for BD tour

The cricket fraternity in the country embraced the good news that broke  yesterday morning confirming that the Australia cricket team will indeed come to Bangladesh as scheduled, following the resolution of Australia cricket's long and bitter pay dispute.

Australia were scheduled to play two Tests against the Tigers later this month in Mirpur (from August 27) and Chittagong (from September 4) but the tour, which was originally scheduled in 2015 but Cricket Australia cancelled on security grounds, was plunged into uncertainty due to the pay-related standoff between Cricket Australia (CA) and the Australian Cricketers' Association (ACA), which had already caused the abandonment of Australia A's tour of South Africa last month.
