Miscreants kill 2 in Mymensingh
Unidentified miscreants killed two people before stealing 10 cows from a farm in Mymensingh Sadar upazila early today.
The deceased were identified are Md Idris Ali, 32, night guard of the farm located at Gopalpur village; and a local resident, Mozaffar Hossain Moza, 30, our Mymensingh correspondent reports quoting Mohammad Noor-e-Alam, additional superintendent of Mymensingh police.
The miscreants stole ten cows worth around Tk 6 lakh from Akashi Agro-Industries Ltd owned by one Anisul Haque, the official added.
Akashi Agro-Industries Ltd contains fish farming and dairy farm, police said quoting its owner Anisul.
On information, police rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies, the official said.
A gang of 15 entered the farm from the back where guard Idris Ali was on duty, the ASP said.
The night guard may have identified the gang members and so they threw him into a nearby pond after tying his hands and legs, said the ASP.
Police also arrested Abu Taher, another night guard of the farm from the spot for interrogation.
He was taken to the Kotwali Police Station for interrogation.
