President asks doctors to provide better treatment
President M Abdul Hamid today asked physicians to treat patients properly with good behaviour.
"Ensure proper treatment for the patients . . . And amicable behaviour is a must while providing medical services," he told a delegation comprising of members of board of directors and teachers of President Abdul Hamid Medical College and Hospital (PAHMCH) that called on him at Bangabhaban in Dhaka.
Terming the medical profession as a noble one, the president said individuals involved in this profession can earn money and simultaneously provide services for the mass people, M Joynal Abedin, his press secretary, told BSS after the meeting.
Abdul Hamid also stressed the need for modern medical education par with the other countries of the world so that the students can acquire time-befitting knowledge.
He urged the authorities concerned to take necessary steps to enrich the teachers and students of the medical colleges with updated knowledge and world-standard medical education.
PAHMCH Principal ANM Nowshed Khan led the delegation while secretaries concerned to the president were present.
A power-point presentation on the development plans of the PAHMCH was also made in the meeting.
