6 electrocuted in Narsingdi

Six labours died from electrocution in a filling station at Raipura upazila of Narsingdi district this afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Barkat, 22, Hakim, 50, Awal, 20, Kawser, 30, Zakaria, 25, and Foyez, 30, reports our local correspondent quoting Raipura Police Station Officer-in-Charge Delwar Hossain.

Police said the incident took place around 3:45pm when the labours were working at Lal Miah Filling Station at Gokulnagar beside Dhaka-Sylhet highway, he said.

Five workers died on the spot and another succumbed to his injuries at Bhoirab Upazila Health Complex.

The bodies were sent to Narsingdi Sadar Hospital morgue.
