Mirpur raid: 2 including house owner arrested
Two people including owner of the house in Dhaka’s Darus Salam area, where remains of seven people were found yesterday, were arrested for their alleged involvement in militancy.
Habibullah Bahar Azad, owner of the building, and Sirajul Islam, night guard of Bardhanbari area, were arrested as Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) primarily found their connection with the militants, Additional Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Khandker Lutful Kabir, commanding officer of Rab-4, said while talking to reporters on the spot today.
They were shown arrested in a militancy case that accused “Neo JMB” militant suspect Tamim Dari, 32, on April 28. The duo will be interrogated in remand to get more information, the Rab official said.

Meanwhile, Deputy Assistant Director of Rab-4 Tarek filed a case with Darus Salam Police Station in connection with the recovery of seven sculls from the flat in Mirpur.
Rab Media Wing Director Commander Mufti Mahmud Khan told reporters that they found some Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) inside the flat after they resumed the operation today.
Bomb disposal team will defuse the bombs later, he said.
Meanwhile, one of the two unknown people out of the seven dead has been identified as Kamal, 22, son of Abdul Malek, hailing from Elisha of Bhola district.
Five of the dead were identified as militant suspect Abdullah, son of late Yousuf Ali of Chuadanga, Abdullah's wives Fatema and Nasrin and sons Osama and Omar.
According to a text message sent by Rab today, relatives refused to take Abdullah’s body.
