Suu Kyi condemns rights abuse, decries suffering in Rakhine

Suu Kyi said Myanmar did not fear international scrutiny and was committed to a sustainable solution to the conflict.

Communal violence has torn through Myanmar's Rakhine state since August 25, leaving hundreds dead and forcing Rohingyas -- counted among the world's most persecuted community -- to flee the country, reports The Hindustan Times.
