Rise High Bangladesh

Rise High Bangladesh at BUET

The bubbling export idea contest 'Rise High Bangladesh, Season 2' organised a campus activation programme in Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) on September 24, 2017.

Despite regular classes and examinations, a large number of students approached the Rise High booths, decked with banners and festoons containing information about the contest. The Rise High volunteers were present to describe the rules and regulations of the contest to the participants.

The daylong event started in the morning at BUET campus and continued till the end of the working day. Unsurprisingly, the most participated part of the program was the puzzle-solving game which attracted a large number of students. In this contest, participants were required to pick a clue card, containing export information of an unnamed country; all they had to do was to identify the country.

After winning the puzzle solving contest, Niloy Raihan of the Civil Engineering Department shared , “It is an amazing initiative. I am looking forward to submitting a project on processed building materials. We can earn revenue by exporting these materials.”

Sondhi, from Mechanical Engineering Department, expressed his interest in developing robotic devices for home usage. “We need to promote our young talents. Otherwise, they will go abroad.”

The BUET Entrepreneurship Development Club actively supported the Rise High Team in organizing the event. Rubaiyat Farhan, President of the Club shared, “I must appreciate this initiative. It will create a platform for young entrepreneurs to share their ideas with a national audience.”
