Attack on Khaleda’s motorcade outcome of internal feud: AL
Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader today blamed BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia for attempting to create a volatile situation in the country in the name of relief distribution among Rohingyas.
“In the name of humanitarian aid, Khaleda Zia is serving her political interest,” Quader made the remarks while addressing a programme in Moulvibazar this noon.
Quader also criticised Khaleda Zia as she is heading towards Cox’s Bazar with a motorcade of 150 vehicles and said she could go there in airway without spending money for fuel of the vehicles.
“Khaleda Zia is hatching a conspiracy to go to power through illegal means in many ways,” Quader, also roads transport and bridges minister alleged.
Awami League Organising Secretary Enamul Hoque Shameem said the attack that was carried out on BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s motorcade in Feni area is an outcome of the party’s internal feud.
“Our party men were not involved with the attack. It is an outcome of the intra-party feud of Feni district unit BNP,” the Awami League leader told The Daily Star soon after the attack.
BNP is staging a drama in the name of the attack to create an issue to go for anti-government movement garnering people’s sympathy, the Awami League leader said.
