Khaleda slams govt for her motorcade attack
Condemning the attacks on her motorcade in Feni, BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia today alleged that the attackers are known to the government.
“We've come here to visit Rohingyas and give them some assistance, but on our way my convoy came under attack leaving many journalists injured,” she said.
The BNP chief further said, “I would like to say the government knows it very well who made the attack. Their photographs have already been published...”
She came up with the remarks while talking to reporters after distributing relief materials among displaced Myanmar nationals at Moynargona Rohingya camp in Ukhiya upazila.
Khaleda urged the government to stop this saying that such incidents will not bring any good for the government. "Instead, it'll make you completely isolated from people. So, stop such acts."
She urged the government to come forward to work together for the welfare of humanity.
On Saturday morning, Khaleda set out for Chittagong and her Cox's Bazar-bound convoy came under attack at Mohammad Ali Bazar near Feni district town in the afternoon.
The attackers damaged a good number of vehicles, including microbuses of Channel i, DBC, Ekattor, and Baishakhi Television, and beat several newsmen and leaders and activists of BNP who were coming with Khaleda Zia to Cox's Bazar.
Awami League and BNP have been blaming each other for the attack since then.
