The agitating students seeking retake of the MBBS and BDS admission tests are staging a sit-in programme at the National Press Club to press home their demands.

They are also scheduled to hold a press conference there, while the agitating students said they will continue the sit-in till 5:00pm, reports our Dhaka University correspondent.

Earlier this morning, the students started gathering at the central Shaheed Minar as part of their pre-announced schedule.

Later, they staged a sit-in programme in front of Shahbagh Police Station as police barred their procession from marching towards the National Press Club.

Police barred the procession while they were marching towards Shahbagh intersection from the Shaheed Minar premises around 11:30am.
