Young actor, Shormi Mala, took the industry by storm upon her entry. Already with a good base in theatre, Shormi has been able to put her audience in a hypnotic trance while on the silver screen as well, with her depth of character and her note-worthy expressions. Having won the national award as Best Actress for her performance in Mrittika Maya, in 2013, she is also a part of this year's Oscar nominated film- Jalal er Golpo. Along with a great filmography, she has been and still is a part of numerous television serials, such Badrul Anam Saud's Pinjor and Afsana Mimi's Doll's House- Shatti Tarar Timir. We caught up with the phenomenal actor to find out some fun-facts about her!

What advice would you give to young aspiring actors?
Always respect the elders in the industry, and do not compare yourself to others. The best way to strive is to constantly try to be better than yourself, not anyone else.
