Patuakhali fake doctor, clinic asked to compensate Tk 9 lakh

The fake doctor of Patuakhali who made headlines for leaving cotton inside the belly of a woman during surgery and his clinic have been ordered to compensate Tk 9 lakh to the victim.

Rajon Das, whose original name is Arjun Chakraborty, has to pay Tk 5 lakh, while the clinic where he works, Niramoy Clinic in Patuakhali’s Baufal has to give Tk 4 lakh.

The High Court bench of Justice Salma Masud Chowdhury and Justice AKM Zahirul Hoque set district civil surgeon to oversee the transfer of compensation payment to victim Khaida.

Also, further orders in this regard will be delivered on February 28.

On December 11, the bench handed Rajon Das to the police after he surrendered before it following an arrest warrant issued.

According to an inquiry report submitted by the civil surgeon of Patuakhali, Rajon conducted operation of a woman leaving cotton inside her abdomen, was a fake doctor and used a false certificate.
