Rangpur vote won’t affect national election: Muhith
Finance Minister AMA Muhith is confident that the outcome of Rangpur City Corporation election will not affect the upcoming parliamentary polls.
“This election established the neutrality of the election process,” the minister, also a leader of ruling Awami League, told reporters in Sylhet today.
“This is multi political party democracy where different party people will be elected naturally,” he said, adding that the result will not have a reflection reflect in the parliamentary polls.
Jatiya Party’s nominee Mostafizar Rahman Mostafa has elected mayor of Rangpur city, defeating ruling Awami League and BNP nominees by a wide margin.
