Mountain lion takes a break

The life of a mountain lion can be stressful and monotonic. That is why this Southern California mountain lion decided to take a hiatus and venture out and meet some new people. What better place to see people then a power pole?

The mountain lion was photographed Tuesday atop a utility pole in Lucerne Valley, California, reports Mashable. It apparently climbed up the pole for refuge after being startled by a school bus full of children.

The cat stayed on top of the pole even after the bus drove away, and remained there all afternoon.

Maybe all it needed was a day away from the wilderness and so it finally vacated its perch on Wednesday morning.
