The board has also decided not to keep him in the central contract of national pool. Besides, the board has also slapped him with a hefty fine of taka 20 lakh.

This was disclosed by the board president Nazmul Hassan at his corporate office in Dhanmondi this afternoon.

Sabbir's short career has been dotted with a number of disciplinary issues and the 26-year-old batsman had earlier faced heavy financial penalties.

Opener Tamim Iqbal has been fined Tk 5 lakh for making comments regarding the pitch and the outfield during the BPL tournament. BCB president said that his comments regarding the outfield tarnished the image of Bangladesh as they were handed two demerit points by ICC after Australia's Bangladesh tour due to inadequate outfield conditions.
