Praava Health Announces Partnership with Narayana Health
Praava Health announces a partnership with Narayana Health Hospitals, a leading/award-winning network of hospitals in India, to expand access to consultation and diagnostics. Through this partnership, patients visiting Praava will have the option to consult with over 30 specialists at Narayana, including cardiologists and cardiac surgeons, oncologists, neurologists and neurosurgeons, orthopedic surgeons, nephrologists and urologists, and gastroenterologists.
Every year, 100,000 patients from Bangladesh travel to India to visit Narayana Health for treatment. With this innovative partnership, patients with planned treatment can start their consultation at Praava Health. Using video conference technology, patients will be able to minimize time away from home by having consultations with their doctors at Praava's world-class Family Health Center in Dhaka before and after their travel to India. Patients can also have all required diagnostic testing for their scheduled Narayana Hospital treatment done in advance of their trips at Praava's new full-service laboratory. After returning home, virtual access to surgeons at Narayana will ensure a smoother recovery process and a better overall experience for all patients, especially those recovering from surgery.
Patients who are not otherwise planning to travel to India for medical care will have the option to access Narayana Health's specialists and super-specialists via video conference from the convenience of the Praava Health facility.
"For the first time, patients travelling from Bangladesh to India for hospital care can access quality diagnostic services at Praava Health in Dhaka, meaning less time away and more time at home with family," said Praava Health Founder and CEO Ms Sylvana Sinha. "Praava and Narayana are reaching across borders to make the journey to recovery shorter for patients in Bangladesh."
"This partnership gives patients access to Praava Health for pre-hospital diagnostics, as well as video consultation with Narayana Health Hospital specialists and surgeons, offering a new standard of care, particularly for cardiac patients," said Dr Simeen Majid Akhtar, Senior Medical Director of Praava Health.
Mr M. S. Guru Prasad, GM - International Marketing of Narayana Health Hospitals, also commented: "Through this exciting partnership with the hospitals of Narayana Health, we further our Praava commitment to increase accessibility of high quality, affordable healthcare to Bangladeshis."
