Service of Ride-App Pathao resumes

The service of ride-hailing app Pathao has been resumed across the Dhaka city several hours after its suspension.

“All Pathao services are active now. We apologise for the inconvenience caused,” according to a text message sent from Pathao today.

Pathao service was temporally unavailable from 6:00am ahead of a court verdict in a corruption case against BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia.

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia was sent to jail in Dhaka this afternoon after she was handed a five-year rigorous imprisonment in Zia Orphanage Trust corruption case.

Judge Md Akhtaruzzaman of the Special Court-5 in Dhaka today sentenced Khaleda to rigorous imprisonment after she was found guilty for misappropriating a donation fund.
