Fire fighters along with the locals trying to douse a fire in Chawkbazar Joy Nagar area of Chittagong city yesterday. Originating from a gas oven, the fire gutted nine tin-roofed houses. On information, six fire fighting units rushed to the spot and managed to douse the blaze, said Kamal Uddin Bhuiyan, deputy assistant director of Fire Service and Civil Defence in Chittagong.
