Hasanur Rahman alias Rocky, 29, an admin of Facebook group, have got question papers nearly two hours before the exam started this year, and circulated those among the examinees with solved answers through Facebook, a top Rab official said today.

Rocky, a student of Bangladesh Open University, has been doing the business for last four years, Mufti Mahmud Khan, director of Rab's legal and media wing, claimed in a press briefing at its media centre in Dhaka’s Karwan Bazar.

Tipped off, a Rab team detained Rocky and four teachers of a coaching centre and a private high school from Dhaka and Gazipur this morning, said Mahmud Khan.

The four teachers are: Tanvir Hossain, 29, acting headmaster of a high school, Sajib Miah, 26, accounting teacher of the same school, Md Ibrahim, 21, and Enamul Haque, 27, both are teachers of a coaching centre.

The teachers collected question papers from Rocky around 8:00 am and returned back to him after solving those in a quick time.

Later, Rocky had circulated the answer scripts among examinees nearly two hours before the exam started at 10:00 am, the Rab official claimed.

In primary interrogation, Rocky said he used to get the questions from a group named “Top Ten”.

“For each question paper, he took Tk 2000 through electronic money transfer. We got some copies of the transaction” he added.

“We still don’t know the source, from where the question has been circulated. We are working to dig it,” Mufti Mahmud said at the briefing in reply to a query.

The Rab official said they didn’t yet get the link to any government officials including the people in education ministry and education board in connection with question leak.
