Vehicles left to rot inside an office compound of the Ministry of Social Welfare in the capital's Tejgaon area. The cars, initially allocated to the ministry, were brought here to be auctioned off as they had become old. From the Osmani Memorial Auditorium upto the zero point intersection, right across the secretariat, only one of the four lanes in the capital's Abdul Gani Road remains open to vehicular movement during office hours. Many of the parked cars in the photo taken on Monday have government stickers on while the others are apparently visiting the secretariat. Free traffic movement on this road could help ease the congestion on Topkhana Road that is parallel to it.
