BNP leaders to sit this afternoon

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has convened a meeting with its party leaders this afternoon to analyse the current political situation and decide their next course of action.

BNP standing committee members, vice chairman, joint secretary generals and advisers to BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia, will be part of the meeting to be held at party chairperson’s Gulshan office around 4:00 pm, Syrul Kabir Khan, an official of the BNP chief’s press wing, told The Daily Star.

Since Khaleda landed jail after she was sentenced to five years' rigorous imprisonment in Zia Orphanage trust corruption case on February 8, it will be the second such meeting of the party.
