Post-mortem on 12 Bangladeshi victims done
Post-mortem on the bodies of 12 Bangladeshi victims of US-Bangla plane crash has been conducted, according to an official of Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu.
Raj Kumar Chhetri, general manager of the TIA, said post-mortem on the bodies of 12 out of the 28 Bangladeshi victims was conducted this evening.
Rest of the victims’ autopsy is expected to be completed by tomorrow, he told The Daily Star.
After completion of the postmortem, all the 28 bodies of the plane crash victims will be sent to Bangladesh, the TIA official said.
The US-Bangla 78-seated plane with 71 people crashed when it slammed on an empty field and burst into flames at the TIA in Nepal on March 12, leaving 51 people dead.
At least 28 Bangladeshi nationals were among the dead.
