Japanese officials seek cooperation in probing Hoshi murder
A two-member team from the Japanese embassy in Dhaka today sought Rangpur district administration’s cooperation in probing the murder of its national Kunio Hoshi.
Security officer Kinzu and forensic expert Dr Kursia Martia made the call during a meeting with Rangpur Deputy Commissioner Rahat Anwar at his office this noon, reports our Rangpur correspondent.
“They sought overall coordination to investigate the killing. We have assured them,” the DC told reporters after the meeting.
Hoshi was gunned down in the northern district of Rangpur on October 3, five days after the killing of an Italian citizen in Dhaka's diplomatic zone.
