Aishwarya addresses sexual harassment issues

News of the Weinstein incident and the subsequent #MeToo revolution has been the prime topic of discussion in Hollywood for many months now. While there have been buzzes in other film industries, it seems Bollywood has something to add to it. Aishwarya Rai Bacchan, one of the leading names in Bollywood, publicly weighed in her own opinions regarding the matter. "Sexual harassment cases don't just exist in the film industry, they exist everywhere," stated the established actor, emphasizing on how general awareness on this alarming matter must be raised further. "It's good that people are talking about it, but it shouldn't be restricted to just one part of the world," she pointed out. It is to be noted that ever since the #MeToo movement, awareness has been brought into Bollywood as well, though perhaps not to an extent that Aishwarya deems enough yet. It is also to be noted that during the scandal revelation, rumors of Weinstein attempting to harass Aishwarya were frequently heard.
