Steps taken to prevent question paper leak: Nahid
All kinds of measures have been taken so that no question paper is leaked during the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and its equivalent examinations, Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid said today.
He came up with the remarks while talking to reporters after visiting the HSC examination centre at Siddheswari Girls' College, UNB reports.
Nahid urged all to remain alert against those who want to destroy the future generation leaking out question papers and sought cooperation from all, including students, teachers and guardians, to prevent the question paper leak.
Secondary and Higher Education Division Secretary M Sohrab Hossain, Additional Secretary Chowdhury Mufad Ahmed, Director General of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education Prof Md Mahbubur Rahman and Dhaka Educational Board Chairman Md Ziaul Haque were present.
Meanwhile, a control room has been set up at the Secondary and Higher Education Division for the round-the-clock communication about the examination-related issues, UNB reported.
The phone numbers of the control room are 01777-707705 and 01749-934412 while its mail address is- examcontrolroom@moedu.gov.bd.
Besides, a link of the control room has been connected with the website of the division.
A total of 13,11,457 candidates from 8,943 educational institutions all over the country sat for Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations this morning.
The written tests of the HSC examinations will be held till May 13, while the practical exams will be taken on May 14-23.
As many as 1092,607 examinees are going to sit for the examinations under eight general boards, 100,127 under the madrasa board and 117,754 under the technical board from 8,943 education institutions in 2,541 exam centres.
Among the candidates, 692,730 are male and 618,727 are female.
Besides, 299 students will appear in the examinations from seven overseas centres.
