Rajib to be buried beside mother’s grave

Govt Titumir College student Rajib Hossain, who met a tragic end at Dhaka Medical College Hospital early today following a mishap in which he lost his right hand, will be laid to eternal rest in Bauphal upazila tomorrow.

Rajib will be buried beside the grave of his mother at his maternal grandfather’s village Dasparain Bauphalat 9:00am tomorrow following the second namaz-e-janaza, Rajib’s maternal uncle Jahidul Islam told The Daily Star.

Rajib Hossain, who had lost his right hand after it got stuck between two buses in the city's Banglamotor area on April 4, died early today at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Earlier in the morning, an autopsy was conducted on Rajib's body at the DMCH.

Later, his body was taken to the High Court premises from the hospital where his first namaz-e-janaza was held around 2:00pm.

The body is likely to reach his maternal uncle’s house tonight around 10:00pm, his family sources said.
