Celebrating change
Change is a thing that splinters opinions. Some want it, some don't. Some want it now, while some are willing to wait for it. Some people want to bring about change themselves, and some sit there complaining that it's taking too long. And this is where the great divide is. Change happens because someone out there is actively working to make it happen, and like with everything else in this world, change is never handed out simply because someone wants it. Entitlement is a disease that plagues our societies, and when it comes to the possibility of bringing about change, entitlement kills it. If entitlement breaches the ideals of a group of people, it can be said with a reasonable degree of certainty that their progress will be halted.
It's easy to complain, and it's redundant to complain about complaining. It takes courage to initiate change and make contributions that have a lasting impact. The least one can do sitting in their armchair is celebrate the courage that brings about good things, and make way for the braver kind among our species.
