Central Zone manage draw against South
South Zone declared at 484 for the loss of eight wickets against Central Zone as Mossaddek Hossain struck ton on the last day but Central Zone manage to hold on to a draw losing five wickets on the fourth and final day of the Bangladesh Cricket League match at Rajshahi.
Mossaddek remained unbeaten on a 107-ball 102 with 10 fours and four sixes. South Zone set an unassailable target of 374 runs for Central on the last day but Central got off to a moderately consistent start and countered 55 overs to draw the game. Abdul Majid remained unbeaten on 60 as Central reached 158 for the loss of five wickets at stumps. Veteran left-armer Abdur Razzak bagged three wickets for South Zone to finish with a haul of nine wickets for the match after he had taken six wickets in the first innings.
Central gained 10 points from the match, courtesy of their first innings lead while South Zone, who currently lead the table gathered 6 points.
