Mahmudullah to sit out last round of BCL
Central Zone skipper Mahmudullah Riyad will sit out the sixth and last round of the Bangladesh Cricket league (BCL) match due to an injury.
Third-placed Central Zone will face East Zone on April 24 and Mahmudullah will be rested for the game after it was decided that sitting out the match will allow him to recuperate from an ankle injury.
Mahmudullah, who only batted in the first innings against South Zone during his side's last match had been carrying the ankle injury from previous matches.
BCB Physio Dr. Debashish Chowdhury said: "The injury took place a long time ago. During the last match he aggravated the injury to his right ankle. Although it is not a serious issue we told him to rest."
Bangladesh's ODI captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza will return for the sixth round of the Bangladesh Cricket League.
