Kazakhstan wins OIC asst secy general post for science
Kazakhstan today won the election to the post of assistant secretary general for science and technology of the OIC (Asia group) defeating Bangladesh.
Kazakhstan’s candidate Askar Mosinav, who is also a director at the OIC headquarters, bagged 12 votes while Bangladesh candidate Kamrul Ahsan, secretary (bilateral and consular) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs got six votes.
There are 18 votes altogether in the Asia group.
The election was held at the OIC’s ongoing 45th session of the council of foreign ministers in the capital.
