TISHA preps for Eid
Small screen actor Tisha has found widespread acclaim regarding her performances on film, earning her a National Film Award recently. She has returned to her acting roots to focus on TV ventures for Eid. In a recent chat with The Daily Star, the artiste elaborates more on her new projects.
How busy are you now?
Tisha: I am filming everyday now, so extremely busy. With Eid just a few weeks away, the schedule is rather tight. I only had one day to myself after my return from USA.
Does it get very tiring?
Tisha: It's not as stressful because I enjoy my work. If you don't have fun with what you do, you won't have a good experience.
How does it feel to win your first National Film Award?
Tisha: Every actor in Bangladesh wishes to win this award. I earned it for my performance in Ostittyo, and I am grateful to the director and the film crew for guiding me to the right path.
Have you finished filming for Phagun Hawa?
Tisha: Yes, we have. Directed by Tauquir Ahmed, the narrative is about the Language Movement, so it's going to be very unique. I portray a brave girl named Dipti, and I'm hopeful that the audience will enjoy my role.
When will you begin working on Balighor?
Tisha: It has been postponed from its original schedule, but new dates haven't been declared yet. The film is adapted from a novel and is directed by Arindam Sheel.
What Eid ventures have you completed so far?
Tisha: We have wrapped up filming Shohorer Notun Premik, directed by Zakaraia Shoukhin, Imraul Rafat's LLB and Golam Shohrab Dodul's Shugondhi Boarding O Tumi. Right now I am working on a play directed by Shagor Jahan.
