KCC polls: Monju’s office vandalised
The office of BNP’s mayor runner Nazrul Islam Monju has been vandalised during the Khulna City Corporation election, allegedly by ruling party men.
A group of 40-50 Awami League men attacked and vandalised Monju’s tent near Sonapota Government Primary School on Sher-e-Bangla road around 10:30am today, Hafez Abul Bashar, special secretary of BNP Khulna unit, told The Daily Star.
“The Al men attacked the tent with bamboos and rods while shouting that BNP was unwanted there,” the BNP special secretary also said.
A voter alleged that all the ballots in the centre were over around 11:00am, three hours within the start of voting, due to ballot stuffing, our photojournalist reports.
That voter also alleged of fake voting and other irregularities at the centre.
