Now BTV World telecasts programs for 24 hours. To air this 24 hours long programs many old musical programs are seen in the BTV World's screen. A modern song by Papia Sarwar is still touching the audiences' hearts apart from her Rabindra songs. In that case name of two songs should be mentioned. One is “Papiare Papia”, and another one is “Nai Telephone Naire Pion”.
In BTV World, the song “Papiare Papia” is seen in such stage where the singer is standing on a higher surface. This set is considered as the everlasting set of BTV. Behind the stage there is a window besides which two trees are standing. But, when the song has been aired in the television for the first time, the makers were concerned about how to make the video more attractive to the audiences. They even had meeting with the artist, director, cameraman and the producer regarding that.
The name of the program was “Maloncho” in where the song has been aired. Television was in the decade of black and white at that time. But the producer Barkatullah was more concerned about how beautifully the artist can present herself in front of the audiences during that black and white era.
The producer knew that the program of the solo artists he was making has the archive value. He has recorded almost all the famous artists' solo program and aired them in Maloncho. During recording the program singer Sohrab Hossain became sick. But, he kept recording the song. The singer became so sick that he had to speak for the audiences in front of the camera, “Maybe I will never be able to sing in front of you”.
Then many years have passed and singer Sohrab Hossain is still presenting many songs. But among the artists who have sung in the Maloncho, Anwar Uddin Khan and Mahmudunnabi have passed away.
