10 'fake currency makers' held in Dhaka
Detective Branch (DB) of police has detained ten alleged fake currency makers during drives at different areas in Dhaka.
Sumon Kanti Chowdhury, assistant commissioner (media) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), told our staff correspondent that ten suspects were detained by detectives from different areas of Dhaka in an operation yesterday evening.
Printed fake notes worth Taka 1 crore, raw materials, equipments and accessories for making fake currency have been recovered from the detainees, he said.
DMP will hold a briefing in this regard at its media centre this afternoon.
