Rahsaan Noor wins appeal for 'Bengali Beauty'

The Appeal Committee has overturned the Bangladesh Film Censor Board's ruling on Hollywood based actor-director Rahsaan Noor's 'Bengali Beauty'.

Noor appealed the Censor Board's decision and on June 5th, the Appeal Committee issued a ruling overturning the Censor Board's ban.

'Bengali Beauty' is now set to release in Bangladeshi theaters on July 20th and in England, France, and New York City on August 10th. It will be a 2nd run release of the film in New York City as it previously released in the United States on February 16th and grossed more than BDT 5 Crores at the Box Office during its theatrical run, according to Rahsaan Noor.

In a statement, Noor says, “I am excited to finally be able to share 'Bengali Beauty' with the people of Bangladesh.”
