BNP trying to cash in on quota reform movement: Quader
Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader today said that BNP is trying to cash in on the quota reform movement after failing to wage a movement to oust the government.
“BNP has failed in waging oust-government movement. The party is now day-dreaming to grab the state power using sentiment of the student community. Such type of dream will not be fulfilled,” Quader said.
Quader, also the road transport and bridges minister, alleged that BNP has indulged in dirty politics over illness of its imprisoned Chairperson Khaleda Zia, which has been unveiled before the people.
The minister came up with the allegation while addressing a programme in Gozaria upazila of Munshiganj this noon.
Responding to a query about the traffic congention on the highways, the minister said there is no fear of traffic congestion ahead of the Eid-ul-Azha.
Calling upon all to be aware of road accidents, Quader said the number of accidents on the highways has come down while the death toll has gone up.
