Anti-drug drive: Over 100 held in Geneva camp
Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) members detained over 100 people during an anti-narcotics drive at Geneva camp in Dhaka’s Mohammadpur area today.
Several teams of Rab-2 conducted the two-hour drive from 4:30am and detained over 100 suspecting their involvement in illegal drug trading and for using drugs, Rabiul Islam, operation officer of Rab-2, told The Daily Star.
The law enforcers were Interrogating the detainees to determine the real drug traders, the Rab official said.
“The innocents will be set free and legal actions will be taken against the drug dealers,” Rabiul Islam added.
