The Earth Club of North South University is commencing the third edition of its signature event Sailor "Champions of Earth", the biggest environmental idea generation competition of the country.

Sailor "Champions of Earth" is aimed at raising awareness of the youth by coming up with sustainable solutions for the environmental degradation. This year's "Champions of Earth" is sponsored by Epyllion Group.

The online registration has already begun and will continue till August 4, 2018. The competition is open for all university students. Students from any discipline can sign up. There will be an orientation for the participants to get them introduced to the competition and its rules.

The competition will consist of three rounds. In the first round, the participants will receive a case about an environmental problem through email which they will have to solve within a given period of time. After screening, selected teams will proceed to the next round and will get notified about the guidelines through email and workshop. In the second round, the participants have to present their environmental ideas to a panel of judges. Only the top 5-10 teams will get to compete in the finals. In the final round, they will be judged on how economical, sustainable, innovative, and feasible are the provided solutions.

The registration is absolutely free. The Earth Club of North South University will host roadshows at University of Dhaka, BUET, BRAC, BUP, IUB, AIUB, and more to invite participants to the competition.

The winners of the Sailor "Champions of Earth" will receive a total prizemoney of BDT 1,00,000.
