3 killed in Barguna motorbike crash

Three people were killed when their motorbike crashed into a pick-up van in Amtoli upazila of Barguna this evening.

The deceased were identified as Rasel, 40, Saiful, 35, and Solaiman, 30, residents of Kolapara upazila, said Sukumar Roy, officer-in-charge of Amtoli Police Station.

The accident took place around 6:30pm when the pick-up van, locally known as ‘tom-tom’, was stationed beside the road, while the driver was fixing its tyre, the OC told The Daily Star.

“The motorcycle was speeding and crashed into the vehicle, leaving all three riders dead on the spot,” Roy said adding that the trio was going to Amtoli from Kolapara.
