GROOVETRAP Bringing the funk back after 10 years
When Groovetrap arrived on the music scene more than a decade ago, they were unlike anything the listeners had heard before. The band was a breath of fresh air, combining elements of funk, acid jazz and pop to come up with sound that is unheard of when they released their first self-titled album in 2008. Even though Groovetrap became inactive for 10 years, it had a cult-like following from all over the country as some of its members broke out individually as star performers. They have recently announced that they are back in action, and are ready to reveal their next album. A tribute to Miles was uploaded to their Facebook page, as a part of a series of covers that the band will dedicate to their childhood heroes. If all falls in to place, listeners are in for a huge treat as Groovetrap look to funk it up with their second studio album!
